Barcelona star Pedri has on Monday provided his take on the long-standing debate – Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo.
Pedri, for his part, is of course a former teammate of Messi, at Barca.
The pair spent the 2020/21 campaign lining out alongside one another at the Camp Nou, forming a close bond on the pitch.
Not only that, but their endeavours gave rise to silverware, too, the Blaugrana marching on to the Copa del Rey title upon the season’s close.
Pedri, though, also has first-hand experience of the aforementioned Ronaldo’s talents.
This comes with the two having faced off on multiple occasions at both club and international level, prior to the Portuguese’s departure for Saudi Arabia.
During a Q&A for The Residency on Monday, the age-old question of Messi or Ronaldo, in turn, was almost inevitably put to Pedri once more.
And the 21-year-old’s response, in truth, should come as little surprise:
“Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo? Messi, without a doubt… But Cristiano is a great player as well!”
