Clarification regarding the surprise reports linking Marcus Rashford with a premature departure from La Liga champions Barcelona has this evening been provided.
For those not aware, a head-turning string of claims surrounding Barca have come out of Spain this weekend.
The claims in question suggested that the Blaugrana brass are already giving consideration to terminating Marcus Rashford’s loan deal with the club.
The Englishman has not exactly set the world alight with his opening performances in La Liga, enough, it has been alleged, for Deco and co. to mull over sending him back to Manchester United early.
As alluded to above, though, on Sunday evening, some much-needed clarification has been forthcoming.
As confirmed by Spanish football expert Guillem Balague:
‘Absolutely rubbish that Barcelona is planning to end early Marcus Rashford’s loan deal. Barça told his representative that they have a lot of confidence in Rashford’s potential and that they believe he will recover as a top player.’
