Barcelona make first move for Hamza Abdelkarim

La Liga giants Barcelona have set their sights on a deal for Al Ahly sensation Hamza Abdelkarim.

That’s according to club insider Achraf Ben Ayad, who has early this week provided an insight into the situation.

According to the report:

‘Barcelona are Officially Interested in Egyptian Talent Hamza Abdelkarim. The Club Has Already Moved on This Front.’

Abdelkarim, for his part, is a 17-year-old attacker, who chiefly lines out at centre-forward, but is also capable of taking to the pitch from the right wing.

The starlet has long been turning heads in his home country of Egypt, owing to his exploits on both the international stage, and at club level.

Despite his tender years, Abdelkarim has already established himself in the first-team setup at Al Ahly.

Whilst lining out for Egypt’s U17s, meanwhile, the frontman has racked up a head-turning 12 goals in 17 appearances to date.

And such exploits, it would appear, have not gone unnoticed at Barcelona, as the Camp Nou brass mull over an offer for Abdelkarim’s signature.
