According to AS, Barcelona have called Sevilla on Tuesday to try to sign Luuk de Jong.
The Dutch striker has rejected PSV, knowing that Ronald Koeman wants his signature. Barça are looking for a striker, Koeman likes him because he knows him from the Dutch national team, and, seeing that the club is not making progress with other signings, they have contacted Sevilla.
The parties in the negotiation are not sure that the deal will go through because it is so late, but it is still a possibility. De Jong’s contract expires in 2023, so the possibility of a loan deal or even a swap with a player is on the table. Miralem Pjanic has been mentioned.
