Barcelona make call on Marcus Rashford’s future

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to move ahead with the permanent signing of Marcus Rashford.

This comes amid the understanding that the Englishman has done enough to convince Hansi Flick and co. of his readiness to contribute in Catalunya’s capital in the long-term.

Wide-man Rashford of course linked up with Barcelona last summer, on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United.

The 28-year-old was initially signed as a backup option, to cover for Barca’s star-studded front three.

A string of injury problems, however, quickly saw Rashford cast into a prominent role in Hansi Flick’s XI.

All told, across the season to date, the versatile attacker has directly contributed to 18 goals in 26 appearances in all competitions.

And as alluded to above, such exploits already appear to have convinced Deco and the Spotify Camp Nou hierarchy of his talents.

As per a report from Blaugrana insider Alfredo Martinez:

‘Barcelona intend to exercise their option to buy Marcus Rashford and pay €30 million to Manchester United.’
