The board at La Liga giants Barcelona have kicked into gear efforts towards the signing of Juventus star Dušan Vlahović.
This comes amid the understanding that the Serbian has been identified as the ideal addition to Hansi Flick’s frontline for next season.
Barcelona are of course widely expected to bid farewell to the club’s most high-profile centre-forward next summer, when Robert Lewandowski’s contract terms are due to expire.
A replacement is likely to be sought out, albeit one with a reduced price-tag amid the ongoing financial problems at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Enter the fray, Dušan Vlahović…
Hitman Vlahović is as things stand set to available for free upon the season’s close, having failed to find an agreement on the terms of a contract renewal with Juventus.
And this situation, as alluded to above, has evidently piqued the interest of Deco and his team of Barca directors.
As per a report from Marca:
‘The Catalan club has already made a move to acquire the services of Dusan Vlahovic, the Serbian striker from Juventus.’
Contacts have been initiated by the Blaugrana, with a view to a free agent deal for the former Fiorentina standout next summer.
