The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona are understood to have kept a close eye on the performance of a member of the attacking ranks at Juventus, during the Bianconeri’s latest outing.
That’s according to Cadena SER, who point towards Dušan Vlahović as the player in question.
Juventus were of course back in action on Wednesday night, making the trip to Spain’s capital for a Champions League showdown with Real Madrid.
Frontman Vlahović for his part featured from the off in the fixture, leading the visitors’ frontline from his customary berth at centre-forward.
And though he did not ultimately manage to find an all-important goal, the Serb proved himself a constant thorn in the side of Xabi Alonso’s hosts.
And watching on all the while, as alluded to above, were those in a position of power at Barcelona.
Amid an ongoing search for a replacement for the departing Robert Lewandowski, Barca are understood to have earmarked Vlahović as one potential option.
This comes ahead of the expiration of the 25-year-old’s Juve contract next summer.
And according to SER:
‘Vlahović (against Real Madrid) offered hope in the market for a Barça side looking for a new striker to take over from the veteran Robert Lewandowski.’
