Barcelona inform Chelsea of Fermín López asking price

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have decided on the fee which will be demanded to sanction the sale of midfield starlet Fermín López over the days ahead.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

The name of youngster Fermín has of course dominated the headlines across Spain and England alike over the last 24 hours.

As much comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that Premier League heavyweights Chelsea have set their sights firmly on the signature of the attack-minded midfielder.

Not only that, but Fermín himself is said to be giving real consideration to a Stamford Bridge switch.

Chelsea, in turn, are understood to be readying an offer for the Spanish international, in the region of €50 million.

If the latest word doing the rounds in the media is anything to go by, however, then as much looks unlikely to convince Barcelona of a sale.

As per a report from MD:

‘Barça will not let Fermín leave for less than 70 million euros, a figure that was being discussed this Tuesday at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper after reading the reports published both in England and Spain.’
