New Barcelona sporting director Deco has met with Iván Fresneda’s agents, according to Mundo Deportivo. The meeting went ahead as AC Milan are also looking to sign the Valladolid right-back.
Fresneda is the main candidate for Barcelona at right-back. The Blaugrana have asked him for patience because they have other matters to deal with and they need to know how financial fair play is going to work out. The 18-year-old defender is willing to hold out, even though Barça have yet to submit an offer.
Fresneda’s termination clause is €20m, and Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and other Premier League clubs are all reportedly interested in landing the highly-rated defender. Milan are the most interested, although they have other potential options lined up, including Wilfried Singo (22) of Torino.
Jules Koundé, Ronald Araújo, Sergi Roberto, and B team player Julián Araujo player can all play in the position, but Xavi wants a specialist at right-back. Despite his age, Fresneda has gained experience in the year he has been with the Valladolid first team.
