The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have kicked into gear a fresh approach to retain the services of Marcus Rashford.
The Blaugrana, though, are understood to have altered the terms of their offer…
Frontman Rashford has of course spent the season to date plying his trade on loan with Barcelona, from Manchester United.
And though the Englishman has found himself in and out of Hansi Flick’s starting XI, his numbers in the final third have, all told, been impressive.
Rashford has racked up 26 direct goal contributions in Barcelona colours to date.
And yet, for several weeks now, word stemming from the Spanish media has suggested that the Camp Nou board have made the call not to activate their option to make the 28-year-old’s signing permanent.
Instead, Deco and co. now appear to be seeking a new solution entirely…
As per a report from market insider Florian Plettenberg:
‘Understand Barcelona are pushing for a second loan for Marcus Rashford. Talks with Manchester United are ongoing. Barcelona currently do not want to trigger the €30m option to buy – ideally a second loan, otherwise they want to negotiate the fee down.’
