La Liga champions Barcelona were responsible for a gesture of good will to Elche in the aftermath of the weekend meeting between the two clubs.
This comes amid confirmation that the newly-promoted outfit were given permission to make use of the Blaugrana’s training facilities on Monday.
Rather than travel back to base in Alicante, Eder Sarabia’s squad were put through their paces in a recovery session in Catalunya’s capital, making for a smoother transition and less fatigue.
This gesture on Barcelona’s part comes after Hansi Flick’s troops secured a return to winning ways at Elche’s expense on Sunday evening.
After welcoming the Franjiverdes to Montjuïc for a La Liga clash, goals on the part of Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres and Marcus Rashford guided Barca to the right side of a 3-1 result.
The reigning Spanish champions will now swiftly turn focus back towards matters on the continent, ahead of locking horns with Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday.
