La Liga giants Barcelona held a fresh round of talks with the representatives of Athletic Club star Nico Williams over the last 24 hours.
That’s according to transfer insider Florian Plettenberg, who has on Monday provided an insight into the situation.
Wide-man Nico has of course reemerged as a leading transfer option at Barcelona over the course of recent days.
This comes after the Spanish international instructed his agent to contact the Camp Nou brass, to offer up his services for next season.
Nico was hotly tipped to link up with the Blaugrana throughout the 2024 summer window, only to ultimately pen fresh terms with Athletic Club.
This time round, though, the outcome could be an altogether different one…
As per the aforementioned Florian Plettenberg, Barca have opened up a lead over the rest of the competition in the race for Nico.
As much comes after ‘important new negotiations took place over the last 24 hours’.
