Fans of La Liga giants Barcelona have been handed some encouraging news on the injury front on Friday.
This comes amid an update on the wellbeing of attacker Raphinha.
The name of wide-man Raphinha has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.
This comes after confirmation was forthcoming that the 28-year-old has been ruled out of Sunday’s first Clásico of the season.
After Raphinha was this week spotted back in the thick of things in Barcelona training following a spell on the sidelines, the former Leeds United man, on Friday morning, was nowhere to be seen at the Ciutat Esportiva.
He will in turn play no part against Real Madrid in two days’ time.
Accompanying news of Raphinha’s setback were claims that the Brazilian could be ruled out of action for the next month, too.
In a source of relief for all associated with the Blaugrana, however, this will not be the case.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘The player continues his recovery process and, after being assessed by the medical team, a relapse has been ruled out.’
