La Liga champions Barcelona have on Sunday been afforded a welcome boost on the personnel front.
This comes after midfield starlet Gavi marked his long-awaited return to competitive action.
Youngster Gavi has for his part spent the bulk of the season to date condemned to the sidelines, after being forced under the knife to repair a niggling knee complaint all the way back in September.
The 21-year-old spent recent weeks ramping up his recovery efforts, and was even called up for Barcelona’s midweek Champions League clash with Newcastle United.
And as alluded to above, on Sunday, all of Gavi’s hard work over the last six months has paid off.
Hansi Flick’s Blaugrana are currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Sevilla.
And late on, with his teammates in cruise control in possession of a 5-1 advantage, Gavi was introduced to proceedings to rapturous applause across the Spotify Camp Nou.
