La Liga giants Barcelona have early this week been afforded some welcome news on the personnel front. This comes amid confirmation that Eric García is not expected to miss any game time of note.
Defender Eric was for his part forced to pull out of international duty over the weekend. After picking up a fitness complaint during the warm-up for Spain’s Nations League meeting with England, the former Manchester City man sat out the fixture as a precaution.
From here, Eric was sent back to base in Barcelona by the Spanish medical team, replaced in Luis de la Fuente’s squad by Robin Le Normand.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Catalunya’s capital is anything to go by, then Hansi Flick need not fret regarding the availability of his defensive star.
As per a report from journalist Nil Sola:
‘Eric García has already done recovery work today at the Joan Gamper and will be available to play against Getafe.’
