La Liga champions Barcelona have this week been afforded some timely encouraging news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation of a long-awaited positive update on the wellbeing of star winger Raphinha.
Attacker Raphinha has for his part of course been sidelined since last month.
As much comes owing to a hamstring injury suffered during a La Liga victory over newly-promoted Real Oviedo.
Initially, the hope was that the Brazilian international would be cleared to return to the pitch in around three weeks.
Owing to a recent setback, however, this date has been pushed back, with Raphinha set to miss Barcelona’s post-international break return against Girona this weekend.
All associated with the Blaugrana, in turn, will no doubt be delighted to learn of some long-awaited positive news regarding the 28-year-old’s wellbeing.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘He underwent a follow-up MRI today, Thursday, and according to sources within the Barça dressing room, the results are positive because they give him a chance of playing in the Clásico on October 26.’
