Barcelona handed injury boost ahead of Las Palmas

The coaching staff at La Liga giants Barcelona will tonight breathe a collective sigh of relief.

This comes amid confirmation that a headline member of the club’s defensive ranks, despite claims to the contrary, has not picked up an injury.

Late on Saturday night, alarm bells were of course set ringing across Catalunya’s capital.

As much came after it was reported that Jules Koundé’s early exit from France’s friendly meeting with Germany had come as a result of an ankle injury.

Ensuing updates pointed towards the issue as having come in the form of more of a blow than any kind of twist, albeit with it having still been unclear whether the 25-year-old was facing up to any kind of spell on the sidelines.

If the latest photos stemming from the French national team camp are anything to go by, though, then the Barcelona faithful need not fret.

This comes with Koundé having been spotted in full training on Sunday, therefore expected to be available for selection for both Les Bleus’ friendly meeting with Chile on Tuesday, and Barcelona’s ensuing La Liga clash with Las Palmas next weekend.
