Barcelona handed double injury boost before Girona

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday been afforded some altogether positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that two leading members of the club’s first-team ranks have returned to group training.

The pair in question? Lamine Yamal, and Fermín López.

Both winger Lamine and midfielder Fermín have of course been forced onto the treatment table in Catalunya’s capital over recent weeks.

In the case of the former, as much comes owing to a groin issue, whilst the latter has been dealing with a muscular complaint.

Both, in turn, were forced to sit out the October international break.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Barcelona is anything to go by, then Hansi Flick should have Lamine and Fermín back at his disposal before long.

As per a report from journalist Adrià Albets, amongst others, the Blaugrana pair were given the medical green light to return to group training on Monday.

Lamine and Fermín, in turn, are expected to be available to face Girona this coming weekend.
