Supporters of La Liga giants Barcelona have on Sunday made collectively clear their frustration with midfield star Fermín López.
This comes amid widespread accusations of the 22-year-old being ‘selfish’ with his efforts on the ball.
Youngster Fermín was for his part in from the off once more this evening, as Barcelona made the trip to Spain’s capital for a showdown with bitter rivals Real Madrid.
Following a hat-trick against Olympiacos in midweek, the Spanish international was entrusted with filling the attacking midfield role in Hansi Flick’s XI.
And Fermín soon made his impact firmly felt once more, in dragging Barcelona level with a fine strike during the first-half.
It was a further chance wasted on the far side of the interval, however, which saw the Blaugrana man come in for widespread criticism online.
Surging through towards goal, the entire pitch opened up for Fermín, who had Ferran Torres as an option to his right, and Marcus Rashford to his left.
The midfielder, however, made the call to ignore both, before directing a disappointing effort directly into the arms of Thibaut Courtois.
And safe to say, with their side trailing by two goals to one, this decision has since not gone down at all well amongst those of a Barca persuasion…
