Supporters of La Liga champions Barcelona are preparing a harsh reception for Athletic Club star Nico Williams on Saturday.
This comes amid the ongoing fallout from the Spanish international refusing to sign for the Blaugrana.
Wide-man Nico this past summer took his place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital once more.
This came as Barcelona reignited their pursuit of the gifted winger.
Just when it appeared as though a deal was all set to be closed, with an agreement in place between club and player, however, Nico pulled the rug out from under the Blaugrana.
This came by way of committing to a new deal in Bilbao, completely out of the blue.
The move left a sour taste in the mouths of all associated with Barca, particularly those in the club’s boardroom.
And as alluded to above, this weekend, the Spanish champions’ fanbase intend to make their feelings with Nico crystal clear.
As per a report from Diario Sport, the 23-year-old is preparing himself for what is expected to be an extremely hostile atmosphere on Saturday.
With their return to base at the Spotify Camp Nou set to come against Athletic Club, the home crowd intend to make use of the opportunity to aim a barrage of whistles, boos and insults at Nico.
