Large sections of the home crowd in attendance at Barcelona’s meeting with Real Sociedad on Monday made use of the opportunity to make clear their feelings with head coach Xavi.
Safe to say, however, that the message in question was far from a united one…
Barca of course marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming the aforementioned Real Sociedad to Montjuïc for a La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, the Blaugrana managed to get the job done, thanking goals on the part of attacking pair Lamine Yamal and Raphinha for an eventual 2-0 triumph.
As Barcelona’s stars battled their way to as much, though, as alluded to above, something of a conflict was also underway in the stands.
Some showcased their support for boss Xavi, whose continuation into next season was of course recently made official.
Whilst chants of adulation poured in from one end of the ground, however, other sections met as much with loud whistling and booing.
This comes as the Barca faithful continue to clash regarding the situation on the club’s bench moving forward.
