La Liga giants Barcelona have set their sights on the signature of a member of the defensive ranks at Racing de Santander.
This comes amid the understanding that youngster Jorge Salinas has caught the eye of those in a position of power at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Salinas is for his part fresh off a stellar campaign on the books of the aforementioned Racing.
En route to the Racinguistas topping the La Liga 2 table to secure promotion back to the Spanish top-flight, the 19-year-old emerged as one of the club’s star performers.
Across 32 league appearances, Salinas racked up a head-turning seven assists from his berth at left-back.
And as alluded to above, such stellar attacking exploits did not go unnoticed in the boardroom at the reigning Spanish champions.
As per a report from Diario Sport, citing Diario Montañés:
‘The player is being followed a lot by Barça and the club are seriously considering his signing, as they see in him a full-back with a great future.’
