Barcelona eyeing another attacking signing after Nico Williams

The board at La Liga giants Barcelona may not bring a close to their search for reinforcements in the attacking third upon Nico Williams arriving at the club over the coming weeks.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have this weekend reiterated that the Blaugrana remain interested in bringing in Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.

Wide-man Rashford has of course been linked with a move to Barcelona for some time now.

After the Blaugrana took into consideration a January loan swoop for the 27-year-old, he has since returned to the radar of Deco and co. this summer.

Rashford is himself understood to be actively pushing for a Camp Nou switch, ready to do whatever it takes to link up with Hansi Flick’s squad.

And if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, the Englishman’s dream move could yet come to fruition.

As per a report from Sport, Barcelona intend to bid farewell to a pair of attackers this summer, in Ansu Fati, and Pau Víctor.

With only Nico Williams on the way in as things stand, the Catalans will therefore be a man short up top for the 2025/26 campaign.

And this is where Rashford’s name reenters the fray, amid confirmation that:

‘Barça have made it clear to Rashford what the situation is and that he will have to wait, perhaps almost all summer. But he is not ruled out despite Nico.’
