La Liga giants Barcelona are keeping a close eye on the development of a member of the defensive ranks at AC Milan.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who highlight Davide Bartesaghi as the player in question.
Bartesaghi for his part is a 19-year-old defender, who chiefly operates at left-back, but also has experience plying his trade in a more central role.
The Italian youth international has spent recent weeks establishing himself as a regular in Milan’s first-choice XI, courtesy of a string of impressive performances.
And along the way, Bartesaghi is understood to have piqued the attentions of Spanish champions Barcelona.
As per a report from Sport, citing MilanLive, Barca are closely monitoring the performances of the young full-back.
This comes with a view to a potential future swoop for his signature.
Any such move, in the immediate future at least, would mark something of a surprise, with Hansi Flick’s squad currently well covered at left-back courtesy of the presence of Alejandro Balde and Gerard Martín, as well as the emergence of Jofre Torrents.
