Barcelona credited with interest in signing of Chelsea star before UCL meeting

La Liga giants Barcelona are expressing a keen interest in the signing of Chelsea star Pedro Neto.

That’s according to Fichajes, who have on Monday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Barcelona are of course primed to lock horns with Club World Cup holders Chelsea in a Champions League clash on Tuesday night.

And the Blaugrana brass, it would appear, will be keeping a particularly close eye on the performance of one Blues star.

As per a report from Fichajes, amid an ongoing search for reinforcement in the final third with a view to next season, Deco and co. have earmarked Pedro Neto as a leading target.

The Portuguese, who has notched six goal contributions in 12 Premier League appearances this season, is appreciated for his explosiveness and ability to fill several attacking roles.

One major stumbling block in Barcelona’s pursuit, however, comes in the form of Neto’s price-tag.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers standout is understood to be valued in the region of €80 million.
