La Liga giants Barcelona could consider repeating the ‘Marcus Rashford formula’ to bring Rafael Leão to the club from AC Milan this summer.
This comes with the Blaugrana still on the hunt for reinforcements in the attacking third.
Winger Leão is widely expected to be on the move before the summer is out, having recently made public his desire for a new challenge away from San Siro.
AC Milan would ideally like a permanent sale, to fund the Portuguese’s replacement in new boss Ruben Amorim’s squad.
But should offers in the region of €60-70 million not be forthcoming for the 27-year-old, the door could be opened to a loan operation.
And in such a case, Barcelona would seemingly be keen.
Long tipped as a potential landing spot for Leão, the reigning Spanish champions are understood to have touched base with the San Siro brass earlier this month, to gather information on a potential deal.
And though Deco and co. would not be willing to part with the kind of sum being sought for a permanent transfer, they would be interested in a loan, similar to that struck with Manchester United for Marcus Rashford last summer.
