Those behind the scenes at La Liga champions Barcelona are giving consideration to stripping goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen of his no.1 jersey.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have this weekend provided an insight into the situation.
Shot-stopper Ter Stegen has of course tumbled further down the pecking order between the posts in Hansi Flick’s squad across the summer to date.
After already being usurped by Wojciech Szczęsny during his long-term spell on the sidelines last season, the German international is now considered as being behind summer signing Joan García, too.
The latter is set to act as the first-choice goalkeeper in Barcelona’s squad this coming season.
And owing to as much, a jersey number shake-up could be on the cards in Catalunya’s capital…
As per a report from Sport, Hansi Flick and co. are taking into real consideration informing Ter Stegen that his no.1 shirt has been taken and passed on to new teammate Joan.
