La Liga champions Barcelona have secured a deadline day reinforcement for the club’s youth ranks.
This comes amid confirmation that Oriol Pallàs has put pen to paper on terms with the Blaugrana.
Pallàs, for his part, is an 18-year-old midfielder, who spent the last 11 years of his fledgling career developing on the books of Barcelona’s city rivals, Espanyol.
The youngster had long been considered a potential star in the making amongst those of a Pericos persuasion, hailed for his leadership and technical qualities in the middle of the park.
Safe to say, then, that it will mark a heavy blow for Espanyol to learn of Pallàs, early this week, moving on.
As confirmed in a statement across the social media platforms of the aforementioned Barcelona, the Spanish talent has joined the club on a permanent basis on deadline day:
‘Agreement for the incorporation of player Oriol Pallàs into FC Barcelona’s Juvenil A from Espanyol
‘At the signing ceremony, he was accompanied by the Club’s 11-a-side Football coordinator, Sergi Milà.’
