Barcelona vice-president Rafa Yuste has dropped a fresh hint regarding the club’s plans for defender Ronald Araújo.
This of course comes amid long-standing speculation surrounding a potential Blaugrana departure for the Uruguayan.
Araújo is for his part fresh off an altogether difficult campaign in Catalunya’s capital in 2024/25.
After spending the opening half of the term sidelined through injury, the 26-year-old then struggled badly in efforts to rediscover his best form.
Such woes gave rise to widespread calls on the part of the Barcelona fanbase for Araújo to be moved on this summer.
To date, no such move has been forthcoming, with those in a position of power at the Camp Nou having repeatedly assured that the stopper features prominently in their plans for the future.
And, drawn on the same subject during an exchange with the media on the back of the Blugrana’s pre-season opener on Sunday, vice-president Rafa Yuste reiterated once more:
“We’re very happy with Ronald [Araújo] and all the players who are here.”
