A headline member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is the subject of a big-money approach on the part of Saudi outfit Al-Hilal.
The player in question? Raphinha.
Wide-man Raphinha, of course, has long been tipped for a departure from Catalunya, with the winter transfer window having seen a number of clubs from the Middle East express a keen interest in his signature.
When all was said and done, the Brazilian stayed put, but speculation pointing towards a potential summer sale has nevertheless continued to circulate in force.
As much comes with Barcelona in dire need of a cash injection, and Raphinha set to be increasingly pushed down the pecking order in the club’s frontline owing to the emergence of teenage sensation Lamine Yamal.
Those of a Blaugrana persuasion, as a result, will undoubtedly be intrigued to hear that a monumental offer for the former Leeds United standout has landed in the boardroom at the Camp Nou.
As per a report from Diario Sport, who recently pointed towards an unnamed Saudi club as having informed Barcelona of their intention to launch an €80 million+ operation for Raphinha, the outfit in question – Al-Hilal – have indeed moved forward with as much.
Incredibly, it is suggested that the Riyadh-based side ‘are willing to reach 100 million euros, between fixed fee and variables.’
And Barcelona ‘cannot ignore’ such eye-watering figures, looking increasingly likely to sanction Raphinha’s sale come the summer.
