Barcelona boss Hansi Flick rivals Arteta & Slot for Manager award

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has seen his name put forward for FIFA’s ‘The Best’ Coach of the Year for 2025.

This comes owing to his efforts en route to the Blaugrana’s domestic treble last time out.

Flick of course enjoyed nothing short of a spectacular debut campaign in Catalunya’s capital in 2024/25.

Breathing fresh life into Barcelona’s squad following the departure of Xavi Hernández, the German employed an exciting brand of attack-minded football, which drew widespread praise.

As much ultimately culminated in Barca triumphing in all of La Liga, the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup, as well as coming within mere minutes of a Champions League final berth.

In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of Flick being nominated for Coach of the Year by FIFA.

The 60-year-old has been joined in the running for the accolade by the likes of Liverpool’s Arne Slot, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, and Paris Saint-Germain headmaster Luis Enrique.
