Barcelona boss Flick reveals if he watched Real Madrid vs Celta Vigo

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an insight into how he was made aware of Real Madrid’s surprise defeat at the hands of Celta Vigo.

Barca’s arch rivals of course extended an alarming run of form on Sunday evening.

After welcoming Celta Vigo to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash, Xabi Alonso’s troops were condemned to the wrong side of a 2-0 result.

Not only that, but they saw a pair of players sent off, ahead of incoming suspensions.

Barcelona, in turn, have extended their advantage atop the La Liga table to four points, after not long ago sitting five points back of Real Madrid.

Speaking to the media ahead of his side’s Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt, Hansi Flick was therefore drawn on whether or not he watched last night’s Bernabéu matchup live.

And the German went on to explain:

“It’s the same as in the previous match. I was in bed and a message came to me. We want to focus on ourselves. I don’t want to waste energy, I want to save it for our team.”
