Barcelona boss Flick provides final Lamine Yamal injury update before Las Palmas

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has spoken out on the status of Lamine Yamal for the club’s upcoming meeting with Las Palmas.

Wide-man Lamine has for his part of course spent recent weeks on the sidelines.

Owing to an ankle injury, the 17-year-old was forced to sit out Barcelona’s last three fixtures either side of the international break.

And his absence was shortly felt, with the Blaugrana having managed a victory in just one of these three outings.

Faced by the media during his pre-match press conference ahead of Barca’s La Liga clash with Las Palmas this afternoon, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Lamine’s wellbeing was quickly put to Hansi Flick.

And, in his reponse, the German tactician went on to confirm that the youngster is available to feature:

“He’s back and he’s ready to play. We haven’t decided [if that will be] from the start, but I think he’ll be able to play.”
