Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has moved to reveal his appreciation for his side’s upcoming opponents in the Champions League.
Barcelona are of course primed to kick their European campaign into gear on Thursday.
A trip to England lies in wait for the Blaugrana, who will take their talents to St. James’ Park for a showdown with Newcastle United.
Speaking to the media in anticipation of the fixture, the subject of the Magpies, their form and more was in turn put to the aforementioned Hansi Flick.
And Barcelona’s headmaster was full of praise for Eddie Howe’s side.
Anticipating a tough test for his side on Tyneside, Flick explained:
“Last season we didn’t play in England, and now this is good for us. Newcastle’s stadium is a beautiful stadium, and I followed them last season, and they’re doing well. Their technical staff is performing well, and I’m looking forward to working with them.”
