La Liga giants Barcelona have positioned themselves in the running for the signature of Montpellier sensation Laciné Megnan-Pavé.
That’s according to Diario Sport, citing Sport.fr, who have this weekend provided an insight into the situation.
Megnan-Pavé, for his part, is a 15-year-old attacker, who chiefly operates at centre-forward.
The youngster turned heads across France last season, courtesy of not only his impressive production, but the general level of his performances.
All told, across 24 appearances for Montpellier’s U17s, Megnan-Pavé racked up 15 goals and 12 assists.
As much has since culminated in the frontman, despite his tender years, making the step up to U19 level.
And as alluded to above, such ongoing excellence does not appear to have gone unnoticed across the continent.
As per a report from Sport, both Barcelona and Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Megnan-Pavé’s development.
This comes with a view to a future swoop for his signature.
Montpellier, for their part, are currently working to tie the club’s latest jewel down to a three-year professional contract.
