Barcelona ask Tottenham star to intervene in transfer swoop

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have informed the entourage of Tottenham Hotspur star Pedro Porro that the player will need to involve himself in the transfer, to make a Camp Nou switch a realistic possibility.

Spanish international Porro has for his part been identified as a leading target on the part of Hansi Flick and his Barcelona staff.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at right-back, the 27-year-old is considered the ideal profile on both sides of the ball.

Porro already boasts an on-pitch understanding with Lamine Yamal, having spent this past summer combining with the Blaugrana sensation en route to Spain’s triumph at the World Cup.

Deco and co, though, are aware that the current financial terms set out by Tottenham are simply not feasible. The Lilywhites are seeking a sum in the region of €70 million, out of Barca’s budget.

As a result, as per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Barça’s sporting management have told Pedro Porro’s entourage that he will have to be directly involved in the operation. Barça have asked him to get a realistic starting price adjusted to the market.’
