Barcelona and Atlético Madrid set to agree a price for Yannick Carrasco

Barcelona and Atlético Madrid are close to arriving at an agreement over the transfer of Yannick Carrasco, report Mundo Deportivo.

For the past couple of days the Belgian midfielder has been linked with a move to the Nou Camp. Initially Barcelona wanted to include Carrasco in a swap deal with Memphis Depay, but Los Colchoneros insisted on keeping the two transfers independent of each other.

Depay is expected to be announced as an Atlético Madrid player in the next couple of hours and the two clubs are set to continue talks over Carrasco.

The 29-year-old’s contract is set to expire in June 2024 and he has a buy-out clause of €60m. It is believed that Barcelona and Atléti are set to arrive at a deal that will see Carrasco move to the Catalan capital next summer for a cut-price of €20m.

While Los Colchoneros want to part ways with the Belgium international, Diego Simeone wants to keep him until at least the end of the season.
