RAC1 reported on Monday that Barcelona asked for João Félix to join on loan from Atlético Madrid, a request that was met with a resounding no from Atlético.
According to AS, at the moment the talks between Barcelona and Atlético are about another swap deal, one that was much talked about in July: Antoine Griezmann for Saúl Ñíguez.
Diego Simeone wants Griezmann. He feels his squad needs another striker and the Frenchman is the main target. Griezmann also wants to return to Atlético. Saúl’s name is back in the spotlight. His loan move to Chelsea has stalled and at Barcelona he would have the game time that, perhaps, at the Premier League side he would not. Saúl would only leave Los Colchoneros on loan, and not for a fee.
