La Liga giants Barcelona have moved a significant step closer to landing a leading member of the club’s summer transfer wishlist.
This comes amid confirmation that the Blaugrana brass have reached a full agreement with Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon over the terms of a contract.
The name of attacker Gordon has of course exploded onto the scene in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last 24 hours.
After word was forthcoming that Deco and co. had shifted focus towards the Englishman amid their ongoing search for attacking reinforcements, further developments swiftly followed.
Barcelona have now opened official negotiations with Newcastle over the terms of a transfer for Gordon.
And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, the Spanish champions have also sealed an agreement with none other than the 25-year-old himself.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘Total agreement reached between Anthony Gordon and Barcelona on personal terms. Barcelona are in direct, official talks with Newcastle to close the deal club-to-club.’
