The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have added a member of the defensive ranks at Manchester City to the club’s transfer watchlist.
This comes amid the understanding that Joško Gvardiol has been earmarked by Deco and co. as an option for the future.
Barcelona are of course widely expected to reinforce the heart of Hansi Flick’s defence with a view to next season.
As much comes owing to a combination of factors, chiefly the uncertainty surrounding Ronald Araújo’s situation, and the expiring contract terms of Andreas Christensen.
With as much in mind, the Camp Nou brass have long been drawing up a shortlist of transfer candidates.
And according to Mundo Deportivo, on this list, two names have been underlined in red.
The first has seen his name heavily linked with Barcelona over recent days, in the form of Alessandro Bastoni.
And alongside the Inter Milan standout comes the aforementioned Joško Gvardiol:
‘Taking into account the desired profile, the centre-backs that are most liked and who could solve Barça’s problem for 4 or 5 years are Josko Gvardiol and Alessandro Bastoni.’
