La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been tipped for what would be an altogether surprising piece of winter transfer business.
This comes amid claims that the Blaugrana will soon be the recipients of an exchange offer on the part of AC Milan.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing Italian outlet Calciomercato, Milan are ready to offer up Christopher Nkunku for Robert Lewandowski.
The Rossoneri’s interest in Lewandowski’s signing is nothing new, eager to beat out the competition ahead of the expiration of the Pole’s contract terms in Catalunya’s capital next summer.
And the latest idea on the part of the San Siro brass is to offer up their own attacking star, in the form of the aforementioned Nkunku.
Attacker Nkunku has endured something of a difficult time of things in Italy since linking up with Milan from Chelsea over the summer.
The Frenchman, in turn, could be on the move as soon as January, with Barcelona set to be afforded the chance to bring him in as part of a complicated exchange involving Lewandowski.
