Atlético Madrid seal deals for two attacking signings

La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have closed deals to add a pair of new faces to the attacking ranks under the watch of Diego Simeone in Spain’s capital.

The first comes in the form of a long-time target on the part of the Rojiblancos, in Ademola Lookman.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano, following weeks of rampant speculation surrounding the name of the Nigerian, Atlético have at last found an agreement to bring Lookman in from Atalanta:

‘Ademola Lookman to Atlético Madrid, here we go! The agreement is in place on every detail. €35m fixed fee, €5m add-ons to Atalanta’

And those in the boardroom at the Metropolitano are not finished there…

Fresh off news of Lookman’s impending arrival has come word that Atléti are also primed to add to their options at centre-forward.

As much will come by way of the signing of Brazilian U23 international Marcos Leonardo, of Al-Hilal.

As per another report from the aforementioned Fabrizio Romano:

‘Atlético Madrid have sealed the agreement with Marcos Leonardo on personal terms. Negotiations at advanced stages with Al Hilal for a loan deal with €40m buy option clause.’
