La Liga giants Atlético Madrid will be forced to make do without a pair of important players in their upcoming meeting with Getafe.
This comes amid confirmation that both Jan Oblak and Robin Le Normand have been ruled out through injury.
As much was confirmed by Diego Simeone during his pre-match press conference on Saturday, with the expected absence of defender Le Normand set to be added to by goalkeeper Oblak.
The news regarding the in-form Giuliano Simeone, on the other hand, was of a more positive nature.
Winger Simeone was forced to train away from the rest of Atlético’s squad over the last few days, owing to a fitness complaint of his own.
Drawn on his son’s status to feature at the Estadio Coliseum on Sunday, though, Rojiblancos boss Diego Simeone explained:
“Giuliano will be in the squad and we will see how his recovery continues, which has been very good, and we will decide tomorrow whether he starts or waits.”
