The brass at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have touched base with their counteparts at Juventus, over a potential deal for a member of the latter’s attacking ranks.
That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Nico González as the player in question.
Frontman Nico is for his part fresh off a largely underwhelming debut campaign in the colours of Juventus.
After arriving from Serie A rivals Fiorentina in a big-money deal in the summer of 2024, the Argentine international struggled for form and fitness alike.
It has in turn been suggested that, at the right price, Nico could be available for transfer.
And as alluded to above, giving consideration to taking advantage of this situation are one of Spanish football’s leading clubs.
As per a report from journalist Matteo Moretto:
‘Atlético de Madrid is once again considering how to continue strengthening its squad and is evaluating the profile of Nico González from Juventus. Conversations between the parties are already underway. The red-and-white club is studying the cost of the operation. Nico, open to the destination.’
