Atlético Madrid offered chance to sign Arsenal star

La Liga heavyweights Atlético Madrid have over recent days been offered up the chance to bring in a member of the attacking ranks at Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal. The Gunners star in question? Gabriel Jesus.

Frontman Jesus is for his part widely expected to bring a close to his stint in North London before the summer is out. Sitting behind both Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyökeres in the centre-forward pecking order at Arsenal, the Brazilian has been made available for transfer.

A whole host of clubs from across the continent, in turn, have been tipped as potential landing spots for Jesus.

And as alluded to above, this week, a new destination has been added to the shortlist of options. As per a report from market insider Matteo Moretto, speaking during an appearance on DAZN, Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid have been contacted by Jesus’ entourage, to discuss a potential joining of forces.

The Rojiblancos, on the lookout for reinforcements up top, have in turn held discussions with the former Manchester City man over the terms of a deal.

Jesus, it is understood, would be available for a fee in the region of €18-20 million.
