The board at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have closed the door on a potential sale of defender Nahuel Molina in January.
This comes amid confirmation of widespread content with the performances being put forth by the Argentine.
Right-back Molina was for his part heavily linked with a departure from Spain’s capital over the summer.
As much came amid intense interest in his services on the part of Italian heavyweights Juventus.
In the end, Diego Simeone and co. made the call not to sanction a sale, with the World Cup winner remaining a central figure in their plans for the current campaign.
And this stance, it would appear, has not changed over the time since.
As per a report from market insider Matteo Moretto late this week:
‘Atlético de Madrid are pleased with Nahuel Molina’s performance and have full confidence in him, who is an undisputed starter for the Argentine national team. Molina played at a high level against Inter in the Champions League, and against Barcelona in La Liga, where he also provided an assist. The club is not open to the possibility of him leaving in January.’
