The respective boards at Atlético Madrid and Juventus have this week resumed negotiations over a potential player exchange deal.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport, who have on Tuesday provided the latest on the situation.
Atlético and Juventus boast a common interest at present.
This comes with each eager to bring in a player from the other before the transfer window slams shut.
In the case of the former, they have set their sights on Bianconeri attacker Nico González. Juve, meanwhile, are eyeing a deal for Nahuel Molina.
Discussions over a swap deal of sorts, in turn, were recently kicked into gear between the parties.
After an agreement was not found, however, this week, the clubs have reconvened for a new round of talks.
The problem remains in the valuations of the players, with Molina’s the main sticking point. Whilst Atlético consider the Argentine international to be worth close to €25 million, Juventus are only willing to offer €15 million.
It now remains to be seen if common ground can be found before the fast-approaching transfer deadline.
