La Liga outfit Athletic Club have this week been afforded some welcome news on the personnel front. This comes amid confirmation that Oihan Sancet will be available for their upcoming showdown with Real Sociedad.
The latest edition of the Basque Derby is of course set to be contested this weekend, when Athletic welcome bitter rivals Sociedad to Bilbao.
The hosts have been forced to sweat over the wellbeing of several key performers in the buildup to the fixture, with one such player coming in the form of the aforementioned Oihan Sancet.
Attacking midfielder Sancet has not taken to the pitch for over a month now, owing to a calf injury. The 26-year-old, though, has spent recent days ramping up his recovery efforts, with a view to making himself available for selection for the derby.
And according to Mundo Deportivo, such endeavours look set to bear imminent fruit:
‘Sancet will be available to face Real Sociedad this Sunday. The player from Navarre trained again this morning with the group, as he did on Wednesday’
