A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla has made his way onto the transfer radar of Premier League giants Arsenal.
That’s according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, who highlight Lucien Agoumé as the player in question.
Mikel Arteta and co, it is understood, are on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign.
Eyeing a different profile of player to the current options at The Emirates, Agoumé has in turn been earmarked as a leading target.
Not only that, but Sevilla, amid nothing short of an alarming financial situation at present, are understood to be open to discussions surrounding a potential sale.
The Frenchman’s contract at The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán contains a release clause in the region of €40 million, though a deal could reportedly be struck for less.
Arsenal, as a result, are giving serious consideration to a January offer for Agoumé.
