La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have this evening confirmed that one of the club’s standout performers has put pen to paper on fresh terms.
The player in question? Ander Barrenetxea.
Wide-man Barrenetxea, of course, is widely considered to be one of Spanish football’s finest up-and-coming talents.
The 22-year-old stands as an integral member of Imanol Alguacil’s squad in San Sebastian, with the campaign to date having seen Barrenetxea rack up 22 appearances across all competitions.
His performances, in particular on the continent, meanwhile, have long begun to pique the attentions of clubs across the continent.
In the Premier League, both Arsenal and Tottenham, to name but two, are understood to be keen admirers of the talents boasted by the attacker.
In turn, it will no doubt come as a source of relief to all associated with La Real to hear that, on Sunday, Barrenetxea has officially extended his stay with the club.
As confirmed in a series of posts across Sociedad’s social media platforms, the club’s academy product has signed a new contract, all the way through the summer of 2030.
